Police fired plastic baton rounds as violence flared at a sectarian flashpoint in Portadown, County Armagh, on Friday.
A crowd of about 100 people threw petrol bombs, bricks, fireworks and other missiles in the Corcrain Road and Charles Street areas on Friday night.Sinn Fein's John O'Dowd said a number of foreign national families fled their homes in the trouble.
"They packed their bags, so distressed were they at the violence," he said.
"Their neighbours tried to reassure people that they would be safe in their homes but they left."
On Wednesday, 26 people were arrested during rioting in nationalist areas of north and south Belfast and Londonderry following the 12 July Orange Order parades.
On Monday night, 22 police officers were injured during rioting in several nationalist areas of west and north Belfast.
The violence happened during the height of the traditional marching season.
